The first international table hockey tournament in Russia, founded at the begging of new millennium, with name “Moscow Cup” during it’s 12 years of history has earned reputation of the most prestigious, biggest and respectable tournament in ITHF (International Table Hockey Federation) calendar. Since 2005 it is included into a list of most prestigious tournaments of World Table Hockey Tour, including tournaments in Stockholm, Prague, Riga, Oslo and Helsinki.
At Moscow Cup many existing stars of table hockey started their way up in World Rank and to their titles of Champions of World and Europe. And of course all players of National Team of Russia.
Previous years organizers of “MC” consistently were trying to initiate progressive tendencies into table hockey both national and international level, at some level even setting standards of development of this sport.
High level demand during selection of venues, expansion of geography and of number of players, grows of price money, production of special souvenirs, TV translations, high number of press media informing about tournament, creation of special slogans for tournaments, special gifts to winners, stars of sport and show-business as special guests and of course discovering of new players – those are must have targets of “Moscow Cup”.
Today the tournament makes new fundamental step of its development. It gets mighty partner – popular Ice Hockey club of KHL (Continental Hockey League) “Atlant” from Moscow region – the last season’s winner of the West Conference and the finalist of Gagarin Cup. Esthetic haloo between Ice Hockey and Table Hockey will take place in modern “Arena Mytischi“, where masters both of big hockey and plastic puck will be neighbours.
This year ITHF World Tour Big Six tournament moved to Moscow Region and got official name – Moscow Region Cup – Atlant – 2012.
Prize money of this 12th year of tournament will be 12 000 USD. This is record prize fund at ITHF World Tour.

- 4th place – 1200
- 5th – 8th – 800 each
There should be all the best players of planet at Moscow Region Cup – Atlant – 2012, including the World Champion Oleg Dmitrichenko (Russia), two times the World Champion and the only triple winner of Russian Big Six tournament Roni Nuttunen (Finland), two times European Champion Ahti Lampi (Finland), the winner of many ITHF WT tournaments Petr Tmej (the Czech Republic), leaders of strong National Team of Latvia – Edgars Caics and Atis Silis and many other stars from Sweden, Norway, Ukraine, Croatia and other countries.
Moscow Region Cup – Atlant – 2012 will also keep in its title name of Dmitry Ledovskih – who was one of pioneers of Russian table hockey and who passed away in 2009.
As tradition every table hockey player will have a chance to compete with real masters of table hockey and start their way into this great sport.
